Public Service (National and International)
National: Served between 1975 and 1986 on many Nigerian federal and state governments’ committees, councils and boards dealing with issues in the field of public affairs.
International: Served between 1973 and 1986 and from 2004 to 2017 as consultant to several pan-African and international bodies, notably the United Nations, the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and Britain’s Department for International Development.
Books and monographs: 36, including Sekou Toure’s Guinea, 1976; Politics and Administration in Nigeria, 1986; Public Administration in Africa: Main Issues and Selected Country Studies (ed.), 1999, 2nd edition, 2011; Politics, Bureaucracy and Development, 2006; and I Remember.
